You may have noticed that I’ve been incorporating video’s into my blog lately. I think I’m hooked :) And not just on YouTube, though there is a wealth of information to be discovered in the YouTube video library. Be sure to check out MySpace videos and Google Videos as well.

Yes.. it’s true. Our first major winter storm of the year. It started here about 4:30 yesterday afternoon and continued right on through until about noon today. So, I’ve been able to spend the day with my kids – school buses weren’t running today and my daughter’s school is 100% bussed, so, no school :)

Thankfully other than the front porch, we don’t do a lot of shoveling as we were blessed with neighbours with a tractor so they were out bright and early plowing out half our street. Since we’re the only house with kids on this end of the street, he always makes a big old pile of snow right out front for the kids to play on. Even our dogs got into the action this morning lol.

Women’s shelters in the U.S. and Canada go through thousands of tampons and pads monthly, and, while agencies generally assist with everyday necessities such as toilet paper, diapers, and clothing, this most basic need is often overlooked. You and I may take our monthly trips down the feminine care aisle for granted, but, for women in shelters, a box of tampons is five dollars they can’t spare.
