Where Do You Network Online?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Some time ago, my friend and associate, Melody Thacker was kind enough to tag me (lol). The topic is all about where we hang out online. The cool part about the internet is that we can meet and get to know a lot of people in a short amount of time. The trick to it however, is that you can’t go in with your eyes wide shut and start posting advertisement after advertisement in hopes of gaining new business. People are smarter than that - they want to get to know YOU and eventually, that will lead to having more and more people trust what you say, which in turn will grow your business. Trust doesn’t happen overnight.

So start networking today! Following are many of the places that you’ll find me online - connect with me and let’s build a relationship :)

Soflow - I’ve been a member here for sometime, but it wasn’t until Mel tagged me that I went back to check it out and actually fill in my profile. It seems like a nice place to hang out though :) I connected with several work at home moms today, so we’ll see how this plays out. In the meantime, if you are a Soflow member, connect with me! And if you’ve never checked it out before, here’s your chance.

Squidoo - I talked about Squidoo in a previous post, but here’s the link to my main lens. Sign up and create your own free lens (or hundreds of them!) and build your business through expertise in niche markets.

Gather - This is another community that I’m new too, however it does seem to be unique in that it promotes publishing articles - this is terrific for everyone, as we should all be busy writing and submitting articles ;) Due to business demands, I haven’t had a chance to post more than once, but it is definately on my to-do list to get back to Gather and have some more fun!

Your Success Network - YSN is a very cool community where you can make powerful connections with other members who are genuinely interested in helping others succeed. Find mentors, advisors and experts, or become one yourself and share your experience with others. About the only real complaint I have with YSN is that in order to be credited for bringing someone new into the community, you have to invite that person via email - there’s no online referral process available. So, if you’d like to do me a favor and help me become a YSN Ambassador, send me your email address and I’ll send you an invitation! (Would be appreciated, but definitely not required LOL).

My Warrior Network - Similar to MySpace, except for business networking only. Create your own profile, add a blog, create classified ads, join groups (or create your own) and meet business owners that you can relate too.

MySpace - Who hasn’t heard about MySpace lol. This is a really fun community where networking can be for fun, business or a combination of both. I’ve met many new Wahm friends, and also had the pleasure of connecting with some friends from the past. The potential for using MySpace as a business building tool is definitely there, though for me I’m still in the learning process on that ;)

Ryze - Ryze was one of the first Social Networking sites to really take off. Used mainly for business, Ryze offers an easy way to meet people in your field and have the same interests as you. Many of the groups/forums that Ryze offers are extremely popular and I encourage you to create your own profile and jump into several groups!

Now, onto the fun part haha… who am I going to TAG!!! Lessseeee here… so many options!

First up, is Kara, then comes Val and finally … Karlyn!
