I had a real shock yesterday when I visited the forums over at Wahms United yesterday and realized that there hasn’t been any new posts at all in June. In fact, I’m totally floored, but it also tells me that I haven’t been keeping up with my own forum (let alone any others!)
So, I decided to start a quick contest:
There are literally hundreds of plugins and widgets available for free, and each of them will do something different for your wordpress blog. From SEO to tagging to adding fun stuff into your sidebar, there’s a plugin for just about anything you can imagine.
Following is a list of my favorite plugins. Some of them I’ve implemented on this blog, and some will be coming in the following week (I’ve been testing them on another blog):
Most website hosting companies provide their clients with some sort of statistics software which allows the user to track specific website traffic areas. Without the proper understanding of your statistics software, you may in fact be looking at the wrong areas of importance.
On many occasions, I’ve seen people raving about having a high number of ‘hits’ to their website. Unfortunately however, website ‘hits’ and real people visiting your website are two completely different things.
