It was bound to happen sooner or later as my 4 y/o is such a daredevil, but I was expecting something exciting like a broken arm. Instead, he was at his friends house just up the street, where apparently they were dancing and fooling around, when Robbie fell and smashed his chin on the arm of a wooden rocking chair.

The result was a surprisingly deep 1/4″ gash on his lower cheek.. near the top of his jaw bone. When it bled through 3 bandages, I decided enough was enough and that it looked deep enough that it may actually need a stitch or two, so I called my hubby who is working weekends right now, and told him to meet us at the hospital, and off we went.

I’m up and running .. and so far, I’m actually liking it! Believe me, no one is more shocked about that then me LOL. I’ve got all of my major programs like Photoshop, Dreamweaver, XSitePro and of course Firefox and Thunderbird up and running without a hitch. Now, I am still expecting some problems with my digital camera, but there are work arounds for that (like a card reader) so that’s ok too.

Yep, I said it… Windows Vista. Am I scared? Terrified actually. With all of the negative press that Vista has received, I’m not thrilled at all about it being loaded on my new computer, but the deal was just too good to pass up.

I figure the worst case scenario will be that I’ll keep my old puter and my hubby will get a nice shiny new HP with Vista lol (always have a backup option). I must say however that I’m already totally in love with my new 20″ hp flatscreen monitor that arrived today. The computer itself should be arriving tomorrow – fingers crossed.
