I knew there had to be a way to publish someone else’s RSS feed on one of my blog pages, so today I finally took some time to go searching for a solution – and indeed, I found it :)

Have a look at my new Product Reviews page for an example of what I’m talking about.

It’s actually very easy to do:

  1. Download the Feedlist plugin and follow instructions to install and activate.
  2. Create your new WordPress page
  3. Create your content – in order to add the RSS feed to the page, add the following code, make sure to enclose it in < > (I couldn’t do so here or it would publish the feed and not the code:

    !–rss:rss_feed_url:=http://feeds.feedburner.com/WahmCafe,
    num_items:=10,random:=false–

*note – replace the feed url with the RSS feed url that you want to appear on your page*

Also, be sure you have permission from the feed owner to publish their content on your pages!

  • Thanks Diane, I’ve been looking around for a way to do this, and was even considering trying to write one myself. I’m somewhat technical, but have never written a plugin before. This should be allow to put off that lesson for a little longer.
