If you have ever considered a career as a Work-At-Home Real Estate Agent but didn’t know if you could handle being a work at home mom (or dad) and a real estate business, then you need this fantastic book by Tina McAllister. The first in a three part series, each can be purchased individually or in a packaged set. I’ve had the opportunity to read all 3 books, and I’ll be reviewing each in the coming days.

Tina holds nothing back and provides you with all of the information required when considering a real estate career. From financial requirements and finding the right broker right through to dealing with your children and your business, Tina takes the time to explain it all in an honest, easy to read (and understand!) format.

“This book covers the initial decision making process. I’m hoping that it will
help sway you one way or another by providing you an honest evaluation of
this career path from the perspective of another Mommy who has done it.
It’s not designed to scare you, or to be a blind cheerleader about the
wonders of the almighty real estate career. It’s just the straight skinny
about what you want to think about before you make that decision.”

One thing that really impressed me is that Tina doesn’t just focus on the positive side of the business. She also details the drawbacks and problems that may be encountered while being a WAHM Agent. That being said, she also provides you with tips on how to deal with those difficulties, such as ideas on how to include your children in your business.

Commission structures, office fees, sales meetings, floor duty, transaction management and contracts are all explained and thanks to the handy set of goal sheets included, you will be more than prepared to find the perfect opportunity for you. Thanks to the WAHM Agent, if I was considering a career change I would be able to interview with brokers knowing exactly what I was looking for, and have a list of appropriate questions ready to ensure that I knew what to expect in order to make an educated decision on which broker would be right for me.

Oh, and be sure to let Tina know that Dianne at Wahm Cafe sent you!
