It’s so darn easy to complain about your life .. all aspects of your life, especially when you seem to be having an ubber-bad day! I don’t know how many times I’ve posted negative status updates on Facebook, or phoned a friend to vent about life.. when instead I should have been picking my day apart to find that tiniest glimmer of success. It could have been that random hug my son or daughter gave me, or getting out in the sunshine for some fresh air .. if only for a few moments. It doesn’t matter what it is, just find it and hold on to it, and believe in it!
But what else can I do?
I’ve found a solution that has not only increased my productivity both in my business and personal lives, but it has made me a much happier person to be around. Magic? Could be…
Are you ready for this?
I AM STATEMENTS!!
That’s right folks, I Am Statements are way powerful! I write down at least 6 I Am Statments every week – 3 personal and 3 business, and I post them near my workstation where I can see them constantly. Here’s an example of mine:
- I AM totally organized
- I AM a successful WAHM
- I AM leading Moms to be successful in their own right
- I AM empowering my kids to be the best they can be
- I AM the proud owner of my own dream house
- I AM a fun, loving mother and wife
The reason visualization is so powerful is because as you create pictures in your mind of seeing yourself with what it is you want, you are generating thoughts and feelings of having it now. Visualization is simply powerfully focused thought in pictures, and it causes equally powerful feelings. ~ Rhonda Byrne ~

You rock! LOVE your I AM statements!
Patty Gale´s last blog ..Thanks for the Adventure
Thanks!! You’ll be happy to know I finally just ordered in my Daily 8 Planner too :))) Told ya I’m on a major mission in 2010!
I do not know if I’m in agreement with your post here. While you do make a good point, I don’t believe you have truly given a lot of thought to the opposite side of this argument. Perhaps I can write a guest post or a follow-up, just make me aware.
Thanks so much for your comment :) Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but around here, I find the I AM statements work well for me and keep me focused on my goals. Please feel free to send me your article!
